I’ve written copy and content for all sorts of clients, from a disability inclusion business to a charity working with LGBTQ+ disabled people; from an accessibility consultancy to a micromobility scooter.

Unlimited is a disabled-led commissioning organisation. They support, fund and promote new work by disabled artists, for UK and international audiences.
I worked with their Communications team to write blog posts, a press release, descriptions of their artists’ work and an update of their Accessible Marketing Guide.

Whizz-Kidz is the UK’s leading charity for
young wheelchair-users. They create opportunities for young wheelchair-users to get the equipment, skills and confidence to go further.
I was commissioned to write an article for UK Disability History Month 2024, with the theme of Disability, Livelihood and Employment.
Tilting the Lens is a consultancy that asks “Is this accessible?”.

Hidden Disabilities Sunflower is an internationally-recognised lanyard which allows people to share that they have a disability or condition that may not be immediately apparent – and that they may need a helping hand, understanding, or more time in shops, at work, on transport, or in public spaces.
I was commissioned to write an article for their website and newsletter:
ParaPride is a charity which celebrates the LGBTQ+ disabled community. They make events, workshops and research accessible to everyone, so that every LGBTQ+ disabled person can feel pride in who they are.
I was commissioned to develop the charity’s tone-of-voice guidelines. This involved defining their tone-of-voice, mission statement, values and website copy. I also crafted an inclusive language style guide, for internal use inside the organisation. You can read some of this copy on their website:
Para Dance UK is a charity and the national governing body for Para Dance Sport in the UK.
I worked with Para Dance UK from March 2021 to April 2022, writing their copy and content about inclusive dance. I wrote website copy, long and short-form articles, blog posts, case studies, interviews and press releases. Examples include:
ill, actually (2019) is a short BBC/ BFI documentary about young disabled people and online identity.
I came up with the title and tagline and wrote most of the copy from pre-production through to distribution: the pitch, treatment, and short, medium and long synopses for BBC iplayer and BFI player. I also wrote the copy for several media interviews. Examples include:
Motivation is a global disability charity and social enterprise that provides wheelchairs and services to disabled people in developing countries. I supported Motivation over two months in Summer 2021, during the 2020 Paralympics.
I edited their social and video content about wheelchair basketball and the Motivation MultiSport wheelchairs.
